Are there other ways to preserve land?

While other actions may be taken with the intent to conserve, such as a deed restriction or the

donation of the land outright to a land trust or government agency, CE’s are the only way to

assure that the land is permanently protected. This is because another entity, typically a land

trust, is party to the CE and must monitor the CE in perpetuity to be sure it is not violated.
