How can I take advantage of these tax incentives?

An individual who owns land suitable for conservation and who is willing to permanently

eliminate the right to develop all or a portion of this land can work with a land trust to structure

a CE on their land. However, the process is somewhat complicated and requires a level of time

commitment and/or qualified assistance in order to obtain the full value of the deductions and

to avoid regulatory pitfalls. Alternately, an individual can participate in the conservation of, and

benefits from, land that is being conserved by others by becoming an investor in a Conservation

Partnership (see “Conservation Partnerships” below).
